The three-storey building blends harmoniously into the surrounding landscape. The ground floor and first floor are embedded in the hillside to the east. Two separate parts of the building rise from the lower two storeys, a south and a north building, each with an additional attic storey. This division of the building creates a spatial relationship to the hillside and gives the building the appearance of a two-part structure, in keeping with the previous buildings.

The new building also remains true to the previous buildings in terms of its design and external appearance. The striking exterior walls provide a clear structure to the floor plans and characterise the appearance of the building. This gives the interiors a clear orientation and creates an attractive interplay between open and closed spaces.

Except for the penthouse apartments, all units have open and covered balcony or terrace areas as well as direct access to the garden. By separating public and private areas with the help of different terrain walls, a large part of the outdoor areas can be used privately, making the flats appear almost like independent houses thanks to their garden access.

Materialization

The parts of the building that are visible from the outside are made of exposed concrete and have deep, vertical inlays (so-called matrices). This fine structuring gives the concrete surface an elegant, three-dimensional appearance. Wood-metal windows are installed at floor-to-ceiling height between the wall elements, with railings positioned in front of them in a metal mesh construction. External venetian blinds are used to provide shade for the windows.

Object description

The two existing buildings on the site will be replaced by a new building. Due to an easement in the north-western part of the property, the new building, like the existing buildings, will be constructed in the south-western and north-eastern areas of the parcel.
